SRNET appoints new President & CEO

Regina, SK – Today, SRNET (Saskatchewan Research Network) announced it has appointed Chad Coller as its new President and CEO. Mr. Coller takes over from outgoing President and CEO, Neil McClughan who announced his intended retirement in late 2018. The appointment was effective May 13, 2019.
“I’m thrilled to be leading SRNET and look forward to building on SRNET’s many successes over the past few years,” said Coller. “I have been on the board of SRNET for the past number of years and know how vital we can be to research, education, and innovation organizations in Saskatchewan.”
Coller joins SRNET after working at the University of Saskatchewan, as Director, Academic and Research Technologies, and Relationship management. Coller has spent the past twelve years of his professional career at the University of Saskatchewan. As noted, he served on SRNET’s board of directors since 2013, and served as Chair of the board of directors since 2015.
Coller said he looks forward to continuing to pursue SRNET’s goals, including adding new members to the SRNET organization, promoting the benefits of SRNET to both the public and its members, and leading collaborative efforts between SRNET, government and SRNET’s research, education, and innovation partners.
Coller has a Master of Science in Information Security from the University of London, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan.
