A fibre route that is owned by SRNET (Saskatchewan Research Network Inc.) exists within La Ronge and Air Ronge. The fibre route construction was completed in two phases. The initial work in La Ronge (primarily underground) was done in 2006, followed by the second portion of the network which was completed in 2014 (mainly aerial work) to connect campus buildings between La Ronge and Air Ronge for Northlands College.

Today, the fibre is operational in La Ronge and Air Ronge and a portion of the strands are in use by SRNET Member, Northlands College.

This fibre route has never been under a formal maintenance agreement, nor has SRNET previously engaged a service provider for maintenance services on this route beyond initial construction services. SRNET requires maintenance services for a 3-year term on this fibre infrastructure with an option to renew for additional 3-year terms.

The intent of this RFQ is to obtain a formal offer for preventative, planned, and emergency maintenance services for the existing fibre infrastructure that SRNET owns in La Ronge and Air Ronge.

For more information on this RFQ, please contact SRNET President and CEO, Neil McClughan at: nmcclughan@srnet.ca or 306-790-7589

Offers will be received up to 11:00am CST, local Saskatchewan time, on Friday June 30th, 2017.
